Interesting fact, Eugene Hugh Beaumont (1909 – 1982) who played Beaver’s dad (Ward Cleaver) on the TV series Leave It to Beaver, was born in Eudora Kansas.* It might have been doubly interesting if Hugh Beaumont was from Beaumont, Kansas.
Wikipedia does a double take, putting his place of birth in Lawrence and Eudora. Beaumont gave his place of birth as Lawrence and a family friend confirmed that the family lived on Kentucky Street. It may be that the family lived east of Lawrence near Eudora and went to the Lawrence hospital. Whatever the real story is, the family moved on to Chattanooga, Tennessee.
